ENRICHMENT PROGRAMSThere are several enrichment programs of interest for a fee available after school hours. They range from art, music, theater/video arts, science, to French and gymnastics. For more information see the Fall 2009 Kentwood Enrichment Schedule. To sign up for any of these programs, fill out the Fall 2009 Kentwood Enrichment Application and drop it off in the office. You need JavaScript enabled to view it BEYOND THE BELLThe Beyond the Bell Branch program provides after school playground supervision for students in grades 2 to 5 who are residents or students on work permit (not students who are at Kentwood on child care permit). This is a drop-in program and there is no fee. Supervision on the yard is from school dismissal until 6:00 p.m. (on minimum days until 5:30 p.m.). Parents must fill out a short form with emergency contact information for your child. For more information contact Nicole Aguilar on the Playground after school STAR NOVASTAR NOVA (Science, Theater, Arts and Recreation) is an after school enrichment program (for fee), with full time care from dismissal until 6:00pm. STAR also offers individual after school classes that students may enroll in on a quarterly basis. Classes offered are Cheer, Kinder Rock, Rockstar, IQ-GO Science, Clay, Theater & Cooking. COLLEGE BOUND FOR KIDSCollege Bound for Kids (CBFK) is an after school enrichment / tutorial assistance program (for fee) for your child located on the school campus. CBFK tutors work closely with students on letter and number recognition, sight words, phonics, penmanship, reading comprehension and mathematics. CBFK staff work closely with teachers to address individual identified areas of need for each enrollee. CBFK also provides enrichment and recreational activities such as supervised play, board games, arts and crafts, Spanish, etc... Daily instructions includes:
